You are here because you have probably come to recognize the importance of your health in your life. Isn't it true that most of us don't realize the value of our health until we lose it? In this modern world, many people value their wealth over their health. We often spend more of our time and resources on our cars, houses and other worldly possessions than on our own body.
Then as we get older, most of our accumulated wealth has to be put back into restoring our health due to chronic and premature health problems surfacing. By the time we realize we need to take better care of ourselves, it is so often too late: Cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and immune system deficiencies are unnecessarily ravaging our bodies. Shouldn't we have taken care of our bodies as priority number one? Shouldn't we be reaping the rewards of good healthy bodies well into old age? The answer is YES - that is, if we MAINTAIN them properly.
Since maintenance is key, the body can be likened to a car; it needs to be taken care of routinely. Don't we make sure our cars get oil changes regularly, get fresh tires when needed, and get any other problems fixed promptly? We know that if we don't, our cars will develop multiple problems earlier and stop running sooner.
Our bodies are similar. If we don't take care of ourselves we will age quicker, function at a lower quality of life, and die earlier. The bottom line is that a car can be replaced by going to the nearest dealership, but there is really no where to go to purchase a new body. That’s why it is so important to tune into your body’s needs and take care of them.
We all know our bodies are composed of cells, tissues and organs; what we neglect to acknowledge, however, and need to realize is that all of these parts are like our babies, needing our care and attention. They need proper food and lots of water for good nutrition and efficient circulation, and their ‘diapers’ need to be changed regularly to eliminate waste products. Fortunately, our body systems are designed to work perfectly on their own if we care for them properly and don't abuse them. Behaviors that interfere with the normal functioning of our bodies constitute body abuse.
On the one hand, there are the obvious ways that people abuse their own bodies: Smoking, alcohol and drug abuse, overindulgent eating, and junk food habits. On the other hand, many people feel they have treated their bodies well enough and therefore do not know exactly what has brought them to the point of sickness, obesity, pain, fatigue, depression, etc. They may attribute it to genetics or life circumstance and think they cannot do anything about it but visit their doctor once again. If they only knew, as Dr. Na Zhai has discovered, that they can have a great deal of control over their health by doing the things that allow the body to heal itself, then they would eagerly want to learn what they can do to help themselves.
Does this ring familiar to you?
Since 1978, Dr. Na Zhai has been studying and researching the body, its functions, and integrations with a concentrated focus on how to efficiently stimulate the body’s own healing process. She has degrees and research experience from three medical schools which emphasize both Western medicine and ancient Chinese medicine. With over 30 years of clinical experience and practice she can now confidently offer insights about the common causes of chronic diseases and health problems that are prevalent in American society. Dr. Na's mission is to share her insights about how to keep your body
at its best, and revolutionize your personal health care to be from the inside out, instead of, all too often, letting doctors attempt to do it from the outside in.
